Botryoidal hematite is a mineral that forms in clusters reminiscent of grapes.  The name comes from the Ancient Greek word bótrus, which means "a bunch of grapes". The mineral's botryoidal nature suggests that it began to form around small growth nuclei, such as sand or dust, and then grew radially in all directions.

Hematite is known for its magnetic and metallic properties, and some believe it can promote grounding, balance energies, and provide a sense of protection.
