Wind-Cut Agate, also known as Gobi Agate, is prized for its wonderfully organic appearance, earthy character and distinctive patterns. Formed in the harsh desert environment of the Gobi region, these agates are associated with long-term natural weathering by wind, sand and extreme environmental conditions.

Carved into a whimsical mushroom form, each piece reveals its own completely individual combination of color, banding, orb-like markings and natural-looking patterning. Some display dramatic layered bands, while others reveal fascinating circular and cellular formations that seem almost painted into the stone.
